Eagles interested in Favre

Oh boy. Here we go again.

The Philadelphia Eagles are interested in veteran Brett Favre as the backup quarterback to oft-injured starter Michael Vick.

The team currently has Kevin Kolb as their backup but they would like to trade him to another team for draft picks or a player or two.

Kolb has made it clear that he prefers to start, and the Eagles feel as though it is a waste to have a quality quarterback rotting away on their bench.

Favre also made it pretty clear that he was finished for good after he got banged up last year and the Minnesota Vikings failed to reach the playoffs.

This would be his most improbable return from retirement, especially considering that he would be coming back as just a lowly backup quarterback.
